In this connection measures of the government are analyzed on transfer of peasants into a system of the obligatory ransom, decreasing redemption payments and poll-tax cancellation.
Historical predecessors of cossacks, setting up and development of the Cossacks This study is devoted to formation of the Cossacks. The Cossacks are considered as the complex phenomenon having qualities of a cultural - historical community, ethnos and service class formed by the state for its own purposes and for administrative-territorial formation of a social community of peoples and estates living on the Cossack grounds. Also an attempt is undertaken to classify various groups of the Cossacks on the basis of known sources.
Cultural life of the Black Sea cossacks in the beginning of the 19th century The paper describes setting up of an original culture of the Kuban Cossacks which has incorporated traditions of material and spiritual life of the peoples populating this territory. This has found the reflection in formation of an education system, educational institutions and literature.
Activity of the Adygheya militia in struggle with criminality and in protection of a social order in the 1920s Setting up of the Soviet militia occurred in difficult conditions of sharp class struggle, destruction of old and consolidation of new public and political system. The primary goal of militia in this period was protection of a social order and struggle against criminality. The paper describes various organizational forms of participation of militia in implementation of this task.
The NKVD-NKGB bodies in the political system of the USSR during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 The paper investigates the place and a role of the NKVD-NKGB bodies in the political system of the USSR during the Great Patriotic war of 1941-1945. They carried out protection and strengthening of objects of the industry and agriculture in cities and villages, struggle against such crimes as espionage, diversion, wrecking and sabotage. The activity of the NKVD-NKGB bodies was directed both against an agency of German investigation, other foreign special services and against hostile elements inside the country.
On the so-called “intermediate zones” in period schemes of the world history The paper is devoted to methodological elucidation of “intermediate zones” or transition periods from one stage of historical development to another in the period schemes of the world history. Special attention is given to “early New time”, namely to a transition period from a traditional to industrial society.

PolyakovaRealization of the principles of a lawful state in modern Russia The lawful state, conditions of realization of the principles of legal statehood are directly connected with guarantees of rights and freedoms of the person and the citizen, the mutual responsibility of the state and the citizen, high authority of the law. The process of formation of a uniform legal field is an urge problem and the major factor of development of federal relations in Russia. We need the political-legal doctrine with precisely determined principles, priorities, the purpose of the state construction and efforts of elites on activation of social-political potential for achievement of the purposes of reforming and on the coordination of interests of a society and the state. There is a need in harmonious system of views, i.e. a conception for the decision of problems of effective constitutional-legal regulation in the modern period which still lags behind requirements of practice.
On a nature and a role of multiparty membership in the Russian post-Soviet space: a party, a society, authority and democracy (1990–2000) An attempt is undertaken to comprehend a role and a place of multiparty membership in the Russian post-Soviet transit, to show relations of authority, a society and the state to parties, to analyze new steps of democratization in the state construction and to reveal attitudes to new transformations in the state going by a way of democratic transformation in the post-Soviet period.
Ethnonational geopolitical identity: setting a problem Intensive sociopolitical and economic transformations in the country have caused a new ethnopolitical and social - psychological reality. The ethnopolitical statuses of ethnic groups in the republics of Russia have changed. Nowadays the following processes takes place: search for new identification in representatives of title ethnoses, increase of ethnic migrations, the formation of general identity and a change of valuable structure of the ethnonational geopolitical identity.
Polemology and ethnopolitical science: sciences about war and peace The paper is devoted to consideration of basic problems of Polemology, the science about war, basing on works of ancient and modern polemologists who try to explain the reasons and necessity of wars for the settlement of inrastate and interstate conflicts and contradictions produced by various interests and requirements of people. Axiological analysis of this military policy is carried out by Ethnopolitical Science and Irenology that act some kind of the methodological basis of the theory and practice of war and peace. This connects these sciences working in one universal field, but doing different functions, though in one team. This paper is intended for the author's special course “Ethnopolitical Science” working for some decades.
